About The Author

Manuel Ojeda Aureus is a retired executive of a New York City multi-national customer service company. Being the most adventurous among his siblings, he came to the US with less than 50 dollars in his pocket. Today, after more than three decades, he is back to having less than 50 dollars in his pocket. While most immigrants come and stay in the US for economic reasons, Aureus stayed in the US because he met his wife here. In the early 1990's he published the first children's magazine, Bahaghari, for an ethnic group, but had to cease publication after four years to pursue a career in management. He is presently working on reviving his children's magazine while cooking at home and preparing to get back to his adventures. He lives in Queens, NY, with his wife Delia, his son Jacob, and his two cats named Kitkat and Sylvester.
